Of the questions I receive online and through my contact form on this site, the most frequently occurring theme is about my services and availability. As a quick reference, I’m posting those most common questions and answers here.
Q: Are you available for hire?
A: Yes! As an independent consultant, I am available for project work on a contract basis. I specialize in data integration, ETL architecture, data quality, reporting, and training. With over a decade developing solutions on the Microsoft BI stack, I’ve accumulated a virtual bag of tricks for dealing with data movement, transformation, and cleansing. Please note that I don’t do staff augmentation or contract-to-hire work.
Q: Do you offer training?
A: Yes – I have a great deal of experience in technical training on SQL Server BI topics for audiences with a wide range of skillsets.
Q: I need a DBA consultant. Can you help me?
A: While I am knowledgeable about most operational areas of SQL Server, I focus my consulting expertise strictly on the business intelligence elements. However, if you need assistance with other aspects of your SQL Server architecture, I can refer you to others who specialize in those subject areas.
Q: Are you available for work as a full time, permanent employee?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Can you speak at my user group?
A: One of my favorite things about what I do is that I get the opportunity to share with others. To the extent my schedule allows, I am happy to speak at technical user group meetings.
Q: How can I reach you?
A: Send me a message via the contact form on this site, and I’ll follow up with you.
